Come Kisses In The Morning

Come kisses in the morning,

A shared joke,

And a look.

Come homework at the dinner table,

Packed lunch,

That special book.

When everyday is similar,

With memory blurred in time

Come kisses in the morning,

My babies kisses,

Mine.

Come kisses in the morning,

A walk to school,

A smile.

Come fleeting moments passing,

Please linger on a while.

Felt tip pens

and Lego bricks,

Those memories blurred in time.

Come kisses in the morning,

My babies kisses,

Mine.

Come kisses in the morning,

A tiny hand,

A face.

Come every day a photograph,

A memory,

An embrace.

Pictures blue-tacked on the wall

are holding hands with time.

Come kisses in the morning,

My babies kisses,

Mine.
